People say you create your own opportunities and this has got to be a favourite! Whilst traveling through Cape Breton, Nova Scotia (which I would highly recommend btw), we stayed at this lovely Bed & Breakfast owned by terrific hosts, Pam & Alistair. To document the trip, I wanted a night-time shot as this cosy Inn is just so beautiful!

A dinner reservation awaited, but I managed to convince the group to give me 5 mins, raced to setup my tripod, took a few test shots and then got the image. It came out well, so the following morning at breakfast, I decided to send Pam & Alistair a copy... just because. What followed was both unexpected and awesome - I was invited back to shoot the rest of their business so they had new website content!

The Macleod Inn is nestled among beautiful, rolling hills and could be your perfect getaway. Situated amongst a stunning trail that hugs the rugged shoreline of Broad Cove, it's perfect for hiking, biking, or simply driving along Broad Cove Marsh Road.

Oh and if you enjoy a spot of golf, it's literally just minutes from Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links — two of the region's most spectacular golf courses... listed in both the Golf Digest "World's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" and Golf Magazine's "World Top 100"!!
